ONE-DAY EXCURSIONS
Guided visit in Marrakech
In the morning visit to the Medina of Marrakech and to the Saadian tombs, the Marrakesh museum, the Madrasa, the Badia palaces and the Majoreles gardens. In the afternoon, visit to the Djemaa el Fna square, when it is filled with jugglers, reciters, fortune tellers, snails, dancers, snake charmers, among many other picturesque characters, as well as the famous juice vendors.
If we wait for nightfall, they mount small stalls of traditional food, illuminated outdoors.
Excursion from Marrakech to Ourika Valley
Ourika is famous for its pottery and crystalline minerals.
We will leave in the morning from Marrakech to the Ourika Valley, a valley that rises gently to the first hills of the High Atlas, where around there are small villages typical of the area. It is a beautiful, pure and tranquil landscape, in which you can only hear the birds singing and the water of the streams.
Excursion from Marrakech to Asni and Imlil Valley
Departure in the morning towards the Great Atlas. We are located at the bottom of the Toubkal, the highest mountain in Morocco and North Africa (more than 4500 meters high), after which we will reach the small village of Tahanaout where twice a week (Tuesday and Saturday) the farmers of the region meet at its large souk. After the visit of Ghaghia Wadi Gorges, arrival in Asni: the country of amethyst (macrocrystalline) and the green valley of Ouirgane which is also called The Valley of Happiness.
Excursion to Essaouira
Departure in the morning to Essaouira (3 hours away from Marrakech). Arriving in Essaouira, it has a typically Portuguese port with beautiful examples of Arabic and Portuguese art in which you can enjoy a fresh and rich seafood to eat. Essaouira is known for its medina declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and also for its artists who work the boj (a tree that produces good wood) and the souk of money.
In the afternoon on the way to Marrakesh, we will stop at the Argan oil cooperative known worldwide and widely used in cosmetics.
Excursion to the Great Atlas, Ait Benhaddou and Ouarzazate
In the morning, departure to Ouarzazate. We will cross the Tiz-in-Tichka (2260m), one of the highest points of North Africa.
We will visit the palace of the Glaoui "Kasbah of Talouet" and then La Kasbah Ait Benhaddou (World Heritage Site), full of symbolic castles where several films such as Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia were filmed. Then we will visit the Kasbahs Taourirt and Tifoultoute, old residences of Glaoui (Ancient Pacha of Marrakech). We will have lunch and return to Marrakech.
Excursion to Ouzoud Waterfalls
We will leave early in the morning to the waterfalls of Ouzoud, located in the central part of Morocco, considered the highest and most beautiful of the country, have an approximate height of about 110 meters. Once we reach the waterfalls we can see the different water levels that reach 60 meters high. In the surroundings there are green valleys, mills, orchards and a magnificent circuit and the gorges of the river El Abid.
